In this video we add the graphit paper behind the templet and begin tracing the image to our canvas or paper.

NOTE:  I am using Graphite paper to transfer the image onto my canvas.  Graphite paper can be purchased at your art or craft store in the artist painting section.  However, you could scribble graphite on the back of your templet with a soft graphite pencil and then when you trace over the lines the pencil will transfer. 

Monday's class

You will need to bring sheets of tissue paper, paint and brushes.   

We will be creating our painted tissue paper for the collage background.

Tuesday's Class

 As we start this class, you will have finished tracing the pattern onto the surface and outlined the lines in a very light purple.

We will be working on creating a value study and washes.

The value study will be done using the purple Acrylic paint.

For the washes you will need a variety of colors.   For example, yellow, red, some kind of blue/green, etc.

I use a medium round tip and 1/2 or smaller flat tip brush.

Wednesday's Class

 As we start this class, you will have finished painting in the values and washes from Tuesdays class.

Now it's time to collage the background. 

Bring your painted tissue papers, Mixed Medium, Gesso,, and acrylic paint such as a midnight blue or blue/grey.

Thursday's Class

We will be painting the Sunflowers, leaves and stems.    

You will need your acrylic paints....colors are in the supply list.  Basically, Yellow  , bliack, brown, white, and different shades of green.

Friday's Class

We are finishing up our project by painting the pumpkins.

You will need acrylic paint (see supply list), brushes (1/2" flat tip and medium round tip)
