Peace is Not a Flat Line
Mar 05, 2025
For much of my life, I believed that peace meant living in balance, a stress-free existence. I pictured it as a straight, flat, horizontal line. But it wasn’t until I spent time in the cardiac ward with a family member, watching the heart monitor, that I realized a flat line doesn’t symbolize peace—it signifies death. As I observed the monitor, I reflected on the symbolism of each heartbeat, creating a zig-zag pattern of ups and downs. No matter whether it was up or down, the movement itself signified life.
I began to think about how misunderstood our pursuit of a “flat-line” existence is. When nothing is happening, we aren’t truly living. Life is about moving through the highs and lows, working with the rhythm of life and never giving up. As we keep going, we find ourselves renewed, just like a runner who finds her second wind—a surge of energy that propels her forward with greater ease and determination.
I've made the choice to stop seeking the "flat-line" kind of life. Instead, I focus on living each day with a clear mind and the resolve to create a life of health, vitality, and inspiration.
Important Information:
The medical field now states that 80% of disease is stress-related. Prolonged stress can lead to conditions like high blood pressure, heart disease, muscle pain, headaches, ulcers, anxiety disorders, and more.
Science has proven that our bodies emit vibratory energy, with a self-regulating mechanism that helps the body stay in balance. When a cell or molecule falls out of sync, neighboring cells send signals to bring it back into harmony. But when enough cells become out of sync, the balance is lost, leading to disease.

“HEALTHY TIP: 🩷
Here’s a simple method to release negative emotions and restore balance in your mind and body:
-
Simple Eye Releases
- Look straight ahead and move your eyes back and forth from side to side, without moving your head. Do this for 3-4 cycles. While doing so, focus on saying “Release _______” (fill in the blank with whatever negative emotion or thought is present).
- Then, tightly close your eyes, and gently open them wide (repeat 3-4 times).
- Take a deep breath in through your nose, then release it through your mouth. Repeat 3-4 times.
- Assess how you feel—has the negative emotion lessened or disappeared? If not, repeat these steps until you feel more relaxed or notice a yawn, sigh, or shift in energy.
-
End with a Positive Statement:
- Once you’ve released the negative emotion, say out loud or in your mind, “I am ___________.” (Replace the negative emotion with a healthy, positive statement, such as "I am calm," "I am at peace," or "I am strong." Find a creative reminder whose words paint a vivid picture in your mind)
- This step is important because once you release the negative, there is a void that must be filled. To avoid falling back into the same negative thought patterns, fill that void with a strong positive statement.
Note: This technique is most effective when you practice it regularly, even when you're not under stress. It’s like training for a race—the more you do it, the more easily your body will respond, helping you release stress and emotional tension whenever needed.
