Did You Know?
A Creative Practice Improves Our Health.
What are we now learning on the subject of how art improves our health?❣️  Â
Art can help increase serotonin levels, as well as, Increase blood flow to the part of the brain associated with pleasure.Â
You may not feel like creating something, but Watching a class lesson will either ignite that create spark within you...encouraging you to pull out the art supplies, or it can be a relaxing show that will feed and uplift your soul. You will feel invigorated and that relaxing hour will be well spent. Â
Creating Art is a Retreat from Life's chaos.

Hello and welcome — I’m so happy you’re here!
I’m Cathy Freeman, a mixed media artist and creative mentor based in Texas. I’m the founder of My Art Sisters and The Little Art Village — a peaceful, joy-filled online space where women come to paint, reset, and grow in their creative confidence.
Whether you’re returning to art after a long break or picking up a brush for the first time, this is a place to learn, explore, and develop your skills as an artist — all at your own pace, with uplifting support every step of the way.
Inside The Little Art Village, you’ll find two heart-centered offerings:
🎨 My Art Sisters – A monthly membership where I guide you through approachable, engaging art projects in mixed media, watercolor, collage, and more. You’ll learn new techniques, experiment with different tools, and build your own unique style — all within a kind, encouraging community.
🌱 Grow Joy – A bonus class included with your membership that weaves in creative prompts, affirmations, and visual journaling to support your mindset and keep your inspiration flowing.
This isn’t about perfection — it’s about progress, joy, and learning how to express yourself through color, texture, and movement. Whether your goal is to become more skilled or to simply reconnect with your creative side, you belong here.
Let this be your studio — a cozy, encouraging space to grow as an artist, one joyful project at a time.
With heart,
Cathy Freeman
