Rustic Background Technique

This Rustic Background can be added to you "How-To" files.  I have created a notebook where I store these pieces of art for reference.

Suggested Supplies

You choose the size of paper.  (Mixed Media, Watercolor....something that can hold paint well)

Black paint or Black gesso

Gesso

Paint Colors:  White, brown (light and dark)

Permeant Marker - (Sharpie)

Straight edge

White highlight pen - (Gelly Roll #10)

BRUSHES:

1/2" Angle brush

Mop Brush - looks like a make-up brush

Now let's use this new skill in a project. 

Playing Dress-up

Suggested Supplies

Watercolor or Mixed Media paper. (I used 7x10 but you can use any size that you have)

Burlap (optional)

Gesso

Paint Colors:  White, Deco-Art Blush Pink, Warm White, Dark Brown  (Choose additional colors that compliment the colors in your skirt, or use browns to create the fence)

Permeant Marker - (Sharpie)

Straight edge

BRUSHES:

1/2" Angle brush

Mop Brush - looks like a make-up brush
