I am turning my pages into a journal

I have kept each day very simple, so that it feels do-able for this busy time of the year.

REMEMBER, Anything, and Everything you do is perfect. The key is to open our heart to the Spirit and receive these wonderful gifts.

My intent in creating this Advent is that we would experience the Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love that only He can bring into our lives - and then carry those gifts with us, letting them grow as we engage with the people God places along our daily path.

What are Creative Reminders & my reason for starting with the words “I AM”.

Creative Reminders are daily declarations that, when spoken with intention, steady my mind in hope, growth, and possibility.

One of the names of Jesus Christ in the Bible is “I AM.”
So when I use these words in my daily affirmations, my intention is not to claim personal power, but to express a desire—a direction—I choose to grow into.

God never forces us to become anything we do not desire.
Using “I am” at the beginning of my statements is a choice of alignment:
a way of directing my mind and opening my heart toward Him.
I recognize that on my own, I am nothing.

But as I speak each Creative Reminder, I am exercising faith—trusting His infinite power, wisdom, and love to help me become what He already sees in me.

This week I replaced the Daily Creative Challenge with one Creative Challenge for the week. You can download this template and transfer it to watercolor paper or color it as it is. I created it for a 6 x 8 sized piece of paper.

Let your art be representational.
Each color you choose can carry deep biblical symbolism.

For example,

the brown in my piece represents humility, the earth, and humanity’s beginning from dust.
The blue symbolizes heaven, divinity, God’s presence, royalty, and covenant.
The purple reflects royalty, power, and divine authority.
And the gold speaks of God’s divine nature—purity, righteousness, and glory.

Now when I look at this piece in my journal, I am reminded of the sacred story woven into every color.
